The Chestnut Grove Cemetery is a place of deep history, quiet reflection, and enduring respect. Tucked behind the historic church in Grampian, Pennsylvania, this sacred ground has served as a final resting place for generations—some dating back to the 1870’s
Over 100 years serving the local community.
A place where families return to honor loved ones.
Many notable figures rest here, telling our region’s story.
Veterans of multiple wars, early settlers, beloved community members, and entire family lines whose legacies helped shape the region. Each headstone tells a story, and every plot is treated with the care and reverence it deserves.
Although the records are incomplete, through careful research, mapping, and restoration, we are working to preserve and honor the cemetery’s full history. Today, both the Old Section and New Section are being actively maintained. Burial plots are not currently for sale (registration with the PA Real Estate Commission is pending).
We believe that cemeteries are not only places of mourning, but of memory, connection, and community. Whether you’re visiting a loved one, exploring your ancestry, or seeking a peaceful place for contemplation, you are welcome here.
If you know of a veteran or individual buried at Chestnut Grove who no longer has local family to care for their resting place, please contact us. We are committed to ensuring that no one is forgotten.
